Her upbringing was defined by her dedication to competitive soccer, both in the high performance development stream and as a part of Team Saskatchewan, competing across Canada and the United States. The demanding training regimen instilled in her important life values. These included discipline, teamwork, consistency, maintaining a strong work ethic, and the tenacity to overcome adversity.
